The Order of DeMolay is a youth group for young men between
the ages of 12 and 21. The organization strives to teach young
men the principals of respect of parents, reverence for sacred
items, courtesy, comradeship, truthfulness, cleanness and love
of country. While teaching these principals, other life skills
are practiced. Young men in the organization learn how to plan
an event for the chapter, practice public speaking, compete
in sporting events and earn awards for community and religious
service.
The young men get to participate in many fun sports events like
volleyball, basketball, tennis, softball, flag football, bowling
and others. Other activities include things like camping, hiking,
bicycling, paintball, skiing, rafting and anything else they
wish to participate, with proper advisory approval.
The Order of DeMolay was founded in 1919 by "Dad"
Frank S. Land in Kansas City, MO. He designed it to be a place
where young men could participate in activities that they all
enjoyed while striving to improve their lives through knowledge
and practice experience.

Friendship-Bray Chapter
of the Order of DeMolay is located in Jenkintown, PA, which
is only a few miles north of Philadelphia. Friendship-Bray Chapter
is part of Pennsylvania DeMolay which has over 20 chapters under
it's wing.
Friendship-Bray Chapter has been in existence for over 75 years,
and has been dedicated to the young men of the region. The chapter
participates in many sports events, plans fun activities and
teams up with other chapters to work on community service projects
and the growth of the organization.
The most unique feature of the chapter and of the organization
as a whole, is that the young men actually plan the events.
They determine what they would like to do, figure out how to
do it and execute the plan by their own will. Through out the
process, adult leaders guide the process, helping whenever necessary.
This is something that many other youth groups do not attempt.
Friendship-Bray Chapter is always looking for young men who
are interested in fun events, participating in sports and help
the chapter and their communities grow and become strong. If
you are interested, please visit the "Contact"
section of this site.
